The Redrock DSLR Field Standard Cinema Bundle is a comprehensive package for converting video DSLRs to useful cinema production rigs. This rig is ideal for DSLRs that have the ability to output an HD picture to an external monitor while recording. Having an HD monitor opens new doors like the ability to allow a Camera Assistant to pull focus as opposed to the operator. It also allows users to take full advantage of the features that professional HD monitors offer. The DSLR Field Cinema Bundles are similar to the eyeSpy rigs. The Field Cinema Bundles use an external monitor for framing and focus, where the eyeSpy bundles offset the camera for use with an eyePiece.

This bundle is compatible with most video DSLRs including the Nikon D90, D300s, D3s**, and Canon T2i, 7D, 1D Mark IV**, and 5D MKII, as well as those with battery grip accessories**. The Redrock DSLR Field Cinema Bundle is designed for handheld use and includes:
DSLR baseplate
18" carbon fiber rods
microShoulderPad
Handlebar rod clamp
4" handlebar rod
8" handlebar rod
microBalancePlus with 2x microBalance counterbalance weights
2 rubberized microHandGrips
microMount with spud (typically used for mounting external monitor)

The Redrock DSLR Field Cinema Standard Bundle does not include camera, external monitor, lens gears, or 35mm lenses. microLensGears are available separately. Please Note: The Field Cinema Standard Bundle places most of the camera weight on the shoulder and is therefore designed for use with an external monitor. If you are considering a shouldermount-style rig using an eye piece, please consider the eyeSpy line of DSLR rigs shown in related items. ** To use taller cameras (or shorter cameras with optional battery grip) with front-mounted accessories such as the microFollowFocus or microMatteBox, additional adapter accessory is needed.
DSLR Field Cinema Bundle V2 Accessories
microArms
By purchasing a microArm you add the ability to change the position of your accessories to the exact position that feels comfortable for you. You can attach the microArm directly to the microMount that is included in the DSLR Field Bundle, and have the flexibility of angling or offsetting your monitor where ever you need.
microRiser
Cameras like the Canon 1D MKIV, Nikon D3s, or any camera with an aftermarket battery pack add-on will notice that the lens mount is higher off the rods than a standard DSLR. To compensate for this extra height and assure contact between the follow focus and the lens, we recommend purchasing the microRiser along with an additional set of rods. The microFollowFocus is then attached to the new higher set of rods, allowing the rig to use a battery pack, while still utilizing a follow focus.
microLink4 Kit
By purchasing either one of the microLink4 versions with the DSLR Field Cinema Bundle, the bundle now has the ability to transform from into an eyeSpy Deluxe Bundle. There are two different microLink4 versions however. The microLink4 Riser offset kit is designed to bring a standard DSLR and a third party viewfinder right up to the operators eye. However, if the camera has a battery pack add-on or is built taller than a standard DLSR (such as a 1D Mark IV) than the microLink4 Flat offset kit is the correct offset.
microMatteBox Deluxe Bundle
The microMatteBox Deluxe Bundle has everything a professional would expect in a Mattebox. Sporting two standard 4x5.65" filter stages that are 360 degree rotatable, a 15mm swing away arm for easy lens removal, and a complete flag kit for additional light and flare management. Rubber donuts also provide a flexible method of fitting your 35mm lenses or camera to the microMatteBox to prevent light leaks.

Our microFollowFocus that comes in this bundle is built to cinema standard .8 mod 32 film pitch, and will work with any lens you have coupled with the appropriate sized lens gears.
