Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) native to South East Asia is widely used for culinary and medicinal purposes. Nutmeg, with its unique flavour and fragrance, is often used as an essential oil. It is found to be an effective remedy for rheumatic pain and toothache. With a couple of drops of REN wild bee honey, a grated nutmeg powder can ease digestive problems and bad breath. Nutmeg should be used in moderation – a pinch or two – is safe. Store both ground and whole nutmeg away from sunlight in airtight containers.
